What could Benedict Jacka have done to make this a more enjoyable book for you? I have loved this series up until now. Burned just seemed so incredibly contrived. The story went in odd directions for Alex to rid himself and his dependents of a death sentence and then when he did everything he could they just threatened him into cooperation. Fighting for his life is nothing new, but this kill order also calls for the death of Alex's dependents-and there's no way that he'll let Luna, Anne, and Vari take the heat.
